Outside/Play yard teacher
I got my Early Childhood Education Degree from Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz, and Santa
Barbara City College.
I also got my Medical Assistant Degree from Bryman College and My Phlebotomist (CPR-1)
from Santa Ana City College.
I began teaching in 1988 at Girls Inc. I fell in love with the field and have worked in it since.
Minus a couple years in the medical field. I have worked with school age but always came back
to preschool . I was the Daycare Director for the Boys and Girls Club in Santa Barbara, was the
Orange County District Coordinator for a large tutoring company, opened a daycare in my house
to Montessori. I love teaching, and having fun with children. Watching them grow and become
more independent is amazing! But, my favorite is the daily hugs and love.
I have a 21 year old daughter who is my world! She is pursuing her degree in law and works at
a law office. Her father passed away when she was 7. We are very close and I am so lucky to
be her mommy!
On my free time I love to spend time with my dog and kitty. Our favorite get-away is up to the
mountains. We do love the beach, too. Collecting heart rocks is my favorite.
Fun-fact:
In the afternoons I work for the Long Beach Veterans Office. I am a Caregiver, and
help them anyway I can at their homes. I truly love it!
