Preschool Program

St. Mark welcomes children from 2 1/2 to 5 years of age. Our youngest children are in Cottage 1 from 9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. As the children grow and are ready for a longer day, we offer an optional 5th hour for children 3 1/2 and older. Our TK program, for our oldest group, is 5 hours long, running from 9:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. We provide a developmentally appropriate learning environment and activities in order to facilitate all aspects of a child’s development.

St. Mark Community Preschool provides a developmentally based thematic curriculum. Our classrooms provide a weekly lesson plan of activities which include both large and small group time activities, calendar, weather, cooking, music, and movement, learning concepts such as shapes, letters, numbers, counting, sorting, and creative arts. Along with our daily lessons, there will be many activities that will enhance your child’s large and fine motor skills, social skills, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the importance of values.

Extended Programs

We understand the various schedules and needs of our families which is why we also offer an Extended care program. We offer two extended programs:

Our Morning and Afternoon Extended Program is offered Monday through Friday. Morning Extended Day is from 8:00-9:00am and Afternoon Extended Day is from 1:00-2:00pm for children enrolled until 1:00, or from 2:00-3:00pm for children enrolled until 2:00. Each program is $20/day. 2:00-3:00 extended day may be cancelled as needed for Staff Meetings.

Summer Program

We offer a six week long summer program held three days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) from 9:00am to 1:00pm during the months of June and July. We enjoy a lot of fun activities, providing opportunities for the children to get wet and enjoy the summer weather.

We recommend that new families enrolled for the Fall school year enroll their child for our summer program so that they are able to acclimate to our school in a fun and relaxed environment.

Our Enrollment Process

We offer tours of our preschool in order for you and your child to learn more about our program. Families who are interested in enrolling should fill out an Enrollment Application . This will put your child on a waiting list for either the current school year should an opening arise or in the future when your child is of age to be enrolled in our program.

We begin Registration for each school year in February. After allowing our current families and siblings of current and returning families to secure their spots for the following year, we begin to contact families on our waiting list. If any additional spots are available we will then open enrollments to touring families until all of our openings have been filled.

Tuition Rates

2024-2025 School Year Tuition Rates and Payment Options

A tuition deposit of 20% of the total annual tuition is due with the non-refundable Family Registration fee of $200 upon registering for enrollment. A 10% discount off of the youngest child’s tuition will be given to families with two or more children enrolled. Tuition is for the entire 2024-2025 school year and may be paid in one of the following three ways:

OPTION 1: Eight (8) equal monthly payments due 1^st of each month

OPTION 2: Two (2) payments on Aug 1^st and Jan 1^st (3% discount)

OPTION 3: One (1) payment, due August 1^st (5% discount)

The Family Registration fee is non-refundable. Any prepaid tuition collected during the Registration period (January-March) will be refunded if a family withdraws their intent to enroll in writing before April 1, 2023. Tuition is then contracted and secures a child’s enrollment for the entire school year. After April 1, 2023, SMCP reserves the right to determine refunds and/or tuition balances after April 1, 2023 if a family wishes to terminate their contract or reduce the number of days their child is enrolled. Refunds will be based upon the Preschool’s ability to fill the child’s enrollment and contracted tuition amount. There are no refunds for holidays, vacations, or school closures.
