I have been teaching preschool since 1987. I have taught infants to Pre-K. When my youngest began first grade, I became an instructional aide for third grade to eighth grade. In 2022, I decided to come back to my roots and joined the St. Mark Community Preschool staff as the Nature Yard and Gardening Teacher.
I love being outside! Getting to see the children enjoy new outdoor experiences and getting involved with their surroundings is a fantastic way to spend my day!
I really love their reaction when I bring out the woodworking tools. They absolutely love to use the hammers and screwdrivers! Of course, they have to put on the cool safety googles first, which sends them into fits of giggles!
I have been married to my husband, Nick, for 34 years and we have two daughters. Ariana, 32, lives in New Jersey with her husband, Greg. Paige, 25, is a nurse in Kansas City, Missouri.
In my free time, I enjoy going on bike rides, walking at the beach, playing pickleball, reading in the hammock and doing puzzles.
On weekends, my husband usually finds me out at our fire table drinking coffee, where I’ve been since 6 o’clock in the morning.
